Synapse Services, LLC announces that Larry O’Brien has joined its brokerage business unit as Account Executive. Larry comes to Synapse with over 15 years of Environmental Insurance underwriting and senior management experience. According to Thomas Murchio, Synapse’s Chief Brokering Director, “Larry is one of the most well-regarded and talented environmental insurance professionals and we’re excited to have him as a member of the Synapse team. He has a deep understanding of how to successfully structure complex transactions across a wide array of risk profiles and insurance products.”
Prior to joining Synapse, Larry was Environmental Leader within the Global Risk Solutions business at Sompo International. In this role, he helped build out Sompo’s Environmental product line and broker relationships nationally across the U.S. Larry’s career started as an underwriter with AIG Environmental in the New York Region. Over his 11 years at AIG, he rose to positions as Regional Manager of the NY team, Zonal Vice President of the Northwest Region’s environmental casualty and monoline pollution teams based in San Francisco, and Product Line Manager for AIG’s Contractor’s Pollution and Professional product suite.
