Synapse Services, LLC is proud to announce Michael Gill, Partner, has been named a 2022 top specialist broker by Insurance Business Magazine (IBA). A member of the Synapse team since 2015, Gill is an industry leader in the firms’ south-central U.S. region, where his proven track record of providing insight, expertise, and excellent customer service for his broker-clients has enabled him to grow his book of business to well over $50m in annual premium.

Gill began his career at AIG Environmental in 2000, where he quickly ascended from senior underwriter to team leader in that firm’s San Francisco and New York operations. His accomplishments there also included developing the environmental insurance program for the redevelopment of the World Trade Center site. Shortly after Hurricane Katrina (2005), Gill relocated to New Orleans to be part of the city’s recovery, launching Ironshore’s Gulf Coast office in 2009. His passion for the region’s recovery continued upon arriving at Synapse, when he helped establish ReSet, a nonprofit that raises money for community needs in Louisiana following catastrophic events.
