Compliance QA/QC Specialist (On-site)

Located in Syracuse, New York

Essential Functions/Primary Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:

Quality Control/Quality Assurance

  • Review policy documents and all associated ancillary documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Facilitate corrections for inaccuracies.
  • Enter all new retail brokers and third-party relationships into our Centralis system.
  • Prepare all requested producer agreements (contracts) for new third-party relationships.
  • Obtain necessary due diligence and obtain supporting documentation (W-9, Proof of Insurance, Proof of licensure and Cybersecurity assessment)
  • Track and follow up on outstanding agreements and uploading relevant documentation.

Administrative Tasks

  • Heavy volume of data entry requiring a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintenance of several excel based tracking systems.
  • Uploading documents for the department into our Centralis database
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Compliance.
  • Projects or additional tasks assigned by Director or Managing Partner.
  • Provide administrative support for the Surplus Lines filing team during peak times.

What it takes to be successful in this role:

  • Ability to analyze complex situations using critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of personal lines insurance and/or insurance licensing preferred but not required. Previous insurance experience and knowledge of Property & Casualty compliance concepts preferred. Training can be provided for qualified suitable candidate.
  • Ability to work in team environment and independently. Strong teamwork orientation: willingness to help larger team meet goals and responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency of Windows PC, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume position, deliver timely and accurate work products with customer service focus and respond with sense of urgency as required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
